Patriot Consulting Recognized by Microsoft as an Engaged Partner for MDASH, Microsoft's Multi-Model Agentic Security System

MDASH (Multi-Model Agentic Scanning Harness) is an agentic AI security system that performs automated triage on software vulnerabilities. Rather than overwhelming mitigation teams with constant vulnerability findings, MDASH prioritizes real, actionable risks over noisy findings to help teams focus on what can be exploited.

According to Microsoft, the system "orchestrates a pipeline of more than 100 specialized AI agents using an ensemble of models to discover, validate, and prove exploitability across codebases written in popular programming languages." The harness works through a structured pipeline — building language-aware indices, scanning code paths with specialized auditor agents, validating findings through debate, de-duplicating results, and proving exploitability by constructing and executing triggering inputs — so that what reaches a remediation team is evidence-backed rather than speculative.

Microsoft unveiled MDASH on May 12, 2026, in a Microsoft Security Blog post titled "Defense at AI speed: Microsoft's new multi-model agentic security system tops leading industry benchmark." In it, Microsoft reported that MDASH topped the industry's CyberGym benchmark with an 88.45% success rate across 1,507 real-world vulnerability tasks — roughly five points ahead of the next-closest result — and framed the work as part of a broader shift "from reactive detection to proactive identification of exploitable risk."

In recognizing its engaged partners, Microsoft wrote: "Meet the select group of Microsoft security partners engaged in our limited preview to shape codename MDASH and accelerate agentic AI vulnerability discovery. This partner engagement reflects our shared focus on moving from reactive detection to proactive identification of exploitable risk."

"Being invited into Microsoft's MDASH limited preview puts Patriot at the leading edge of agentic AI security," said Joe Stocker, CEO of Patriot Consulting and a Microsoft MVP in Security. "The future of vulnerability management isn't drowning teams in findings — it's proving what's actually exploitable and fixing that first. We're honored to help Microsoft shape a system that does exactly that, and to bring those lessons back to the customers we defend every day through our MXDR and security engineering practices."
